Application Requirements

Current Chinese Grade 8 and 9 students, high school student or high school graduates with a certain level of English proficiency.

Registration Process

  • Students will take the English and Math admission exams, and then a video interview with a Canadian admissions teacher and the test mark should meet the admission requirements.
  • Students will submit Grade 8 transcript and/or Grade 9-12 transcripts received from the previous schools for evaluation and equivalent credit transfer.
  • Parents or students will pay for the tuition and fee.
  • Students will submit study permit application.
  • Students will enter Canada, report to the school and register courses.

Have Any Question ?

Definitely. You will have to submit your previous transcripts for equivalent credit assessment, and complete the math assessment and ESL placement test if your first language is not English.

You will be assigned to a certain level ESL course in the beginning of your learning at Wharton. The course level depends on your ESL placement test result.

You have to first complete the math assessment before enrolment, then you will be assigned to the proper level of math course. If your math assessment result indicates your level is as high as Grade 12, your Grade 11 Function course will be waived. But any Grade 11 and 12 Science will not be waived.

You can schedule a meeting with your guidance teacher at Wharton any time, then our guidance teacher will help you decide your program and course enrolment.

The processing time of study permit and visa application depends on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. However, if it takes too long and there is no any response from IRCC, Wharton will contact IRCC directly and help you submit the inquiry.

Admission policies vary from university to university. Generally, the English proficiency test is waived after completing four years of secondary school at Wharton. However, you will still need to check in advance with the universities which you wish to apply for additional admission requirements, as some universities may have additional requirements, such as the SAT/ACT. For some highly competitive universities or majors, you may also need other supporting materials, such as any competition scores or awards. Completing our AP and A Level program at Wharton and earning excellent test scores would be a great option.
